The Philadelphia 76ers won their final game of game of the regular season yesterday against the Brooklyn Nets 134-105. Before the game had started the 76ers where already locked into the #3 seed, so on the surface this game seemed rather unimportant. However, it has greater implications than it would seem. With the 76ers at the #3 seed and the #6 seed being the same Nets team we just beat it does illicit confidence that we will be able to beat them in our first round match up.
In addition to our win to finish out the regular season, Joel Embiid also finished as the league leader in points per game this season. That stat combined with the team’s success should make Embiid a convincing MVP candidate.
If we are victorious in our first round matchup against the Nets then we would face the winner of the #2 seed Celtics and the #7 seed which is TBD until the play-in games are played.
Let’s go Sixers!!!! 💯
