Generation of Miracles Separate, Join Different Teams

Teiko Middle School is a powerhouse in Japan that has won three straight national championships. That dynasty was fueled by 5 players who had started since their first year of middle school and personally won all three championships and came to earn the moniker the “Generation of Miracles”. Those players were Daki Aomine, Ryota Kise, Shintaro Midorima, Atsushi Murasakibara, and Seijuro Akashi. In addition to those five once in a generation players there was also a player that was known as the “phantom sixth man”. Although now that I mention him I can’t remember actually seeing him play, or even what he looks like. Hmm, that’s weird.

Anyway all five players in the “Generation of Miracles” ended up going to powerhouse schools. Aomine, who was considered the “Ace” of the “Generation of Miracles”, went to Touhou Academy. Joining Aomine in picking a Tokyo school was Kise and Midorima who went to Kaijo and Shutoku respectively. Murasakibara, the defensive stalwart of the “Generation of Miracles” ended up going up north to Yosen High. The point guard and captain of the “Generation of Miracles” Akashi went from a middle dynasty to a high school dynasty as he decided to play for Rakuzan High School.

I personally do wonder what school that “phantom sixth man” ended up going to, but like I said I can’t remember enough about him look him up. Regardless of that, I am excited at the thought of being able to see these talented former teammates face each other on the basketball court. If you are just as excited as me to watch the thrilling matchups between these five basketball phenoms then you are in luck as a documentary was filmed surrounding these players and it is available on Netflix and Crunchyroll.
