This week Terrell Edmunds was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles this week. Edmunds previously played in Pittsburg and he joins the Eagles on a one year $2 million contract. His contract will include $600,000 in guaranteed money.
His signing is in response to the loss of CJ Gardener-Johnson, who recently left after signing a one year $8 million deal with the Detroit Lions. Edmunds’ signing fills the gap in the defense that Gardener-Johnson’s departure left, as well as eliminate some of worry Eagles fans felt about the Safety position.
There is still a good chance the Eagles take a Saftey in the draft next month; however, it is obviously a far lower priority than it was before Edmunds’ signing.
