Eagles Free Agency Update

After resigning Jason Kelce and Brandon Graham, the Eagles got their superstar cornerbacks in James Bradberry and Darius Slay. In addition to those two they also resigned defensive lineman Fletcher Cox. On offense they resigned Boston Scott and signed Rashad Penny as well as Marcus Mariota.

These signings leave only Cj Gardner-Johnson as the last player in need of resigning. It also shores up any urgent need to find a running back or a corner in either the draft or free agency. With these signings our needs have shifted to make linebacker and defensive line more of a priority

While it’s great that we were able to resign the players that we did there were still many key players that left this offseason. Those players include Pro Bowler Miles Sanders, Javon Hargrave, TJ Edward, and Kyzir White. These will be key positions that need to be filled as we get closer to the draft. Not to mention that Safety is still a question mark until we can be sure that CJ is coming back to Philadelphia next season.

  1. Great blog post! The signings that the Eagles made this offseason seem to have really helped shore up some of their weaknesses on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. However, with key players leaving and CJ Gardner-Johnson’s status still up in the air, I’m curious to know what the Eagles’ plan is for addressing the remaining needs. Have they mentioned any potential solutions for filling those gaps?
