Sterling/Cejudo Set For Title Fight

Both Aljamain Sterling and former champion Henry Cejudo have announced on social media that they will be facing each other for Sterling’s UFC Bantamweight Title. Although no official contracts have been signed yet the fight is expected to take place on May 6th at an undecided venue.

Sterling is coming off a bicep injury, and is coming off a title defense victory in which he submitted another former champion in TJ Dillashaw. Cejudo has not fought since he retired from the UFC back in 2020.

This fight card is also expected to include former UFC Lightweight Champion Charles Olivera who will be facing Beneil Dariush. That bout will likely determine who will face Islam Machachev for the Lightweight Title next.
