Drexel’s Washington Named To Third National Award List

Keishana Washington is currently scoring 26.2 points per game which ranks third in the nation. Her fantastic play had already landed her on two different national award watches and recently she has been named to a third. She has previously been named to the USBWA National Player of the Year and the Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year midseason lists. She now has been named as one of the Top 10 candidates for the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award, which is awarded to the nation’s top shooting guard.

In my personal opinion she is a lock to win all three of these awards, and it would be an egregious mistake on the part of the respective award committees to not select Washington for these awards. Now obviously as a Drexel supporter I am biased, and I’m sure that the other women on these lists are deserving in their own right. All that being said, having watched Keishana play throughout this season I have the upmost confidence that she will win these awards and continue to have an incredible season.
