Turns Out That Georgia Is A Lot Better Than Everyone Else

So Monday night we saw Georgia win their 4th national championship and second in a row. Which by itself is pretty impressive, but that’s not all they did, they also won the game 65-7. That’s not a typo, or an exaggeration, or a joke. It’s also not the score for a game of NCAA Football that someone played on PlayStation last night, even though it sounds like it should be one of those things. You don’t expect to see a 65-7 score in a national championship game, heck you don’t expect to see a score like that in ANY game, period. Unless perhaps you were watching Georgia play a small time FCS school or something like that, but you just don’t expect to see it in a national championship game against TCU.

Now this of course begs the question, does this mean that TCU just stinks or something? My answer to that would be no, or at least I don’t think so. It stands to reason that TCU has been playing above their ability for most of the season; I mean we are talking about a team that wasn’t even ranked at the beginning of the year. Now that being said they have beat some really good teams this year such as Kansas State, Texas, and of course their biggest win against Michigan in the semifinals, to top it off they finished the year with a record of 13-2. So with a resume like TCU’s it’s hard to agree with someone who says they suck, because if they suck then you have to agree that absolutely every team in college football other than Georgia sucks. I for one don’t think that almost every team in the country sucks, so it must be something else.

So that of course begs another question which is, if TCU doesn’t suck then why did Georgia beat them so bad? I think that question can be answered in two parts. First things first, I think Georgia got surprised against Ohio State and took them lightly. Which is probably what lead to Ohio State taking an early lead, and ultimately having a close score in the game. Second things second, as I stated in the title of this article I think Georgia is just flat out WAY WAY WAY better than everyone else in college football. In other words TCU isn’t bad, it’s just that Georgia is way too good.
