League Interceptions Leader Out Indefinitely

Last week’s Sunday night game against the Green Bay Packers was a great win that put us up to 10-1. However, it wasn’t all good news after CJ Gardner-Johnson a.k.a the best Safety in the league got injured and went off the field sometime near the end of the game. It was later announced that the injury he suffered was a lacerated kidney and that he would be out indefinitely.

This will definitely be a big deal for Eagles as losing an elite level talent like CJ Gardner-Johnson is something that’s difficult to overcome. The Eagles top tier defense has been one of the the biggest reasons for their success this season, and without having CGJ available to play we might see the Eagles struggle on the back end of the defense. At least that’s what I would have thought but some undrafted rookie Safety came in and actually picked off Aaron Rodgers and played well so maybe we aren’t that bad off.

Things aren’t all bad news though as rookie DT Jordan Davis is set to return to practice this week and could return to playing in games as soon as this Sunday against the Titans, although when exactly we can expect to see him suited up on the field again remains to be seen. More good news came today as there are reports that CJ could possibly return at some point later this season although whether that happens also remains to be seen. Although it seems that we will probably be able to make due without CGJ for the rest of the season, we still of course wish for him to make a full recovery as soon as possible.
